The Eternal Blessing is a major work which finds its main inspiration and thematic material from the song "Blessings" by Laura Story. The music portrays both sides of the lyrics, which talk about the suffering and hardships of life, while believing that these trials may be God’s blessing in disguise. The piece continually references the hymn “It is well, with my soul,” to re-enforce this idea. With additional material from Kristine DiMarco's new song "It Is Well," stating “And through it all, my eyes are on you” showing the needed recommitment to Christ during all the ups and downs. These words and message apply to almost any person. The outlook of hardships and trials is changed to our continuous walk with Jesus and what wondrous things he has planned for each of us.
